Pam & Rick

Pam and Rick are two of my favorite people that I have met since I started doing weddings. Their wedding was absolutely amazing! there was no amount of detail that was overlooked. From the programs during the ceremony to the last napkin folded at the incredible chinese 10 course meal at the reception. The highlight of the night for me was seeing Rick surprise Pam when he sang 'You are everything'. You could feel the passion coming from the bottom of Rick's soul as he sang. Love chinese weddings!!

Margie & Brian

Here's the first of my 3 weddings from this past weekend.  It was in Shrub Oak, NY (upstate for those of you out of towners). It rained all morning and was pretty cold. The rain stopped around 11am and so we were able to get some photos outside although some of the ladies were hating me for taking them outside! (sorry ladies!) :) The day ended up being great and everyone had a great time!

What a Weekend!!!

It's weekends like this one that I remember why I absolutely LOVE being a wedding photographer! I had such a blast recording the memories of three awesome couples!

I told a few friends that this might be the first and last time I book 3 weddings in one weekend, but it is sunday night (almost midnight) and as much as my body is telling me it needs a couple days sleep, I feel like I could do this again!!

I met some cool people at each of the three weddings and it is so amazing to me how each wedding is such an awesome party and celebration of two worlds coming together! So cool!

So here's a couple pics I am putting up tonight with the full slideshows for each wedding coming tomorrow!

Can't wait until my next wedding, but till then I gota listen to my body telling me to go to bed....

WPPI in Las Vegas III

Here's the last few from my time in Vegas! I came back super inspired and ready to get my heavy wedding season going! I have over 25 weddings lined up this year so it's going to be a crazy and fun ride!

WPPI in Las Vegas II

Here's some pics from the sites around 'the strip'.

This is the view form the Mandalay Bay hotel. I got to hang out with some Latino Photographers who came to WPPI from all over Latin America.

This is the machine that took my dollar! I'm not much of a gambler but I couldn't leave Vegas without trying a slot machine. maybe next time I ought to try the poker tables!

My sister and I took an amazing trip to Paris a couple years ago and this view of the 'fake' Eiffel tower reminded of that trip.
I got to Vegas on monday which was St. Patrick's day. So of course everyone was decked out in green, including this funky fountain!

Promise I wasn't drunk! :)
The money I could of won if I sacrificed more than a dollar!
The infamous Bellagio. They filmed the Ocean's Thirteen movies here! Cool!

WPPI in Las Vegas I

I finally was able to find some time to load some photos and updates from my trip to Vegas. I had such a great time, learning from top of their game photographers and getting to meet some cool people. Here's the first of a couple posts and pictures from the trip! Can't wait till next year to go again!

I met Marlon at DJ's Freedom and Slumber party earlier this year. He was my roommate at the hotel this year. Cool dude and great photographer and designer!

I was able to see and chat with DJ and Allie for a bit. He is so busy and was running around all over the place. Luckily I was able to stop both of them for a quick pic!
I also got to sit with him during his session before he went up to speak. He introduced the amazing new software Showit Sites. I hope to build my new site with this software so I'm anxious to get it going.
Another man running around like crazy was my friend Kenny Kim. He was covering pretty much the whole event. You saw him here then he was gone! I've seen him in three cities now: Santa Barbara, NYC, and Vegas. I'll be second shooting with him in April in New Jersey, which I can't wait for!
This was a treat. I got to hear Denis Reggie himself talk of his experiences shooting the weddings of people like Robert F Kennedy, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I also got to hear       Robert T. Williams talk about his rise to one of the best wedding photographers.
I got to see and hang out a bit with Paul Rogers. This dude is the man behind all of DJ's amazing videos! He's a great guy and it was cool chilling with him for a bit. See DJ in the background? I think Paul should of been filming him!

Saturday Arts day in Rockland...

Since most of my saturdays during the summer this year I'll be spending at fun weddings, I am enjoying the few I have now to relax and hang out.

Today I got to see the very cool '8th wonder of the world' on the big screen at this historic landmark theatre in Suffern, NY. The movie itself was full of sweet cheeziness, but my friends and I loved it!  It was crazy to think that this movie was made in 1933! that's 75 years ago!

Later tonight I got to see another historic event when Nyack High School presented 'The Phantom of the Opera'.  The makers of Phantom handpicked only 6 schools in the country and Nyack was one of them. I also knew a couple of the guys in it, so it was very cool to be there. The show was incredibly impressive. I kept reminding myself that these where high schoolers doing this cause it was so great and I could not believe these guys pulled this off so well. My friend and soon to be my assistant for a few months, Brice, played Ubaldo Piangi, and was hilarious!

Now i'm off to bed. Going to WPPI early monday morning!

I want faith like this....

Today I witnessed something that shook my inner being.  It's really almost impossible to put into words but I will try...for my sake in processing what I experienced.....

I attended a funeral for this beautiful 9 month old baby girl. She died this past friday and our whole Nyack community felt so much for her mom, dad and older sister. At the funeral service tonight while many of us came to comfort and show support, we left with a renewed sense of strength and encouragement from the people that we were supposed to comfort and encourage.

In the midst of such unimaginable sorrow Chris (dad) spoke and displayed an unthinkable amount of faith and joy that could only come from something other than this world.  I saw a man grounded in something so strong that even the death of his own baby girl could not shake.

I was so shook and strengthened in my own faith by this family and specially by Chris. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to lose your baby girl after only 9 months of life. Yet this man stood on a supernatural faith that I could only look at admire and desire.
